Our Philosophy

Where Japanese artistry meets Swiss precision

Born from a deep respect for craft, iro iro is a hair atelier where every cut, colour, and style is treated as an act of creation. Our roots trace back to Tokyo, through the fashion capitals of New York and London, arriving in Zürich with a singular vision: to elevate hairdressing into art.

The name iro iro — 色々 — means "various" or "many colours" in Japanese. It speaks to our belief that beauty is not one thing. It is as varied as the people who walk through our door.

The Stylists

Two artists, one vision

Noriko — Founder & Senior Stylist at iro iro

Noriko

Co-Founder & Senior Stylist

Having her roots in Japan, Noriko studied hair and makeup artistry in Tokyo. Her professional career brought her to New York, London, and finally to Zürich. She belongs to the Zürich agency Style Council and continues taking lessons in London and Tokyo — constantly motivated to refine her knowledge of cutting, colouring, and styling.

Aya — Stylist & Makeup Artist at iro iro

Aya

Co-Founder & Stylist

Trained in Zürich with further education as a makeup artist and advanced training at the Allilon Academy in London, Aya brings a holistic approach to beauty. In 2018, she completed her training as a holistic nutritionist at the Paracelsus School — because true beauty, she believes, begins from within.
